Tom is the lead vocalist, and founder of Undercover. He is much more than that. He works with our guitarist to work out musical structures and the best key for the songs we play. With a smashing and diverse vocal talent, Tom also tends to play the role of “the voice of reason” within the band, ensuring that any disparate views of band members are given fair audience and consideration. With a legal background, he has been priceless in guiding Undercover through the difficult, yet necessary world of contracts and negotiations and attends many meetings as the face of the band. Together with fellow band members Mike and Greg, Tom first entered the music scene at the age of 16 with the band, Drystone, which composed, played and recorded its own material and with great success - the band played many packed-house gigs from Manchester to London to Dublin. After enjoying 8 years exclusively with Drystone, Tom decided it was time to try something different on the musical front, knowing that he wanted the chance to play live music on a more regular basis. The rest is history. He formed a covers band together with the Drystone bassist and drummer, which later became known as ‘Undercover’. Thank goodness he did, as here we are, rocking audiences up and down the country at public bars, weddings, private parties, corporate functions, charity events, festivals and the like. You name it, we play it and we try and make sure you’re glad that we do.As for Tom, hats off to that man!
